Cost of Studying in Monaco: IUM, Pavillon Bosio and IFSI Fees

Fee figures: catalogue of 6 October 2026.

Fees in Monaco range from nothing to a private-school price, depending on which of the three institutions you choose. Living costs are not covered by our catalogue, and we found no official figure for them, so this guide covers tuition and the extra fees the schools publish.

IUM: one price for everyone

The International University of Monaco is private and charges the same fee whatever your nationality. In our catalogue the BBA costs between €14,675 and €15,150 a year, for both EU and non-EU students.

The two IUM pages we read do not agree with each other, so treat these numbers as a range:

On top of tuition, IUM lists a student association fee of €190 a year and a one-off IUM for Life fee of €675, which gives lifelong access to alumni services. The university also notes that second- and third-year tuition may rise slightly. You can pay in full or in instalments: the seven-instalment plan adds a 5% supplement, and the first payment is due in July either way. IUM has a merit scholarship: you request the application form within 15 days of admission and return it within 30 days of receiving it. The amount is not published, so ask admissions. An Honors Track costs more per year, and IUM publishes its own prices for it.

Pavillon Bosio: price depends on residence

The art school of the City of Monaco sets its 2026-2027 registration fees by status:

In our catalogue the Bosio programme appears as €178 to €725 for EU students and €1,365 for non-EU students. The school also charges a €37 registration fee for the entrance exam. See how to get in. Its scholarship page lists no amounts: Monegasque students and long-term residents apply through the national education department, and French students use the French student portal.

IFSI: nursing without tuition

The nursing school at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre states that studies are free of charge. You still pay the university registration fee set each year, plus the French student contribution (CVEC). The school's page gives €170 and €100 for 2023-2024, which is out of date, and our catalogue records €178 as the university fee. Check the current amounts with the school. The school adds book costs of about €140 over three years and pays a weekly placement allowance, from €36 a week in the first year to €60 in the third.

Housing and transport

Most students live in France, not Monaco, so rent and transport are the real budget items. IUM says rooms can start from as low as €600 a month, and Pavillon Bosio gives an annual regional pass at €90 covering buses and trains, Monaco included. See student housing around Monaco.
