Cost of Studying in Andorra: Fee per Credit, Discounts and Student Aid

Fee figures: catalogue of 6 October 2026.

Tuition at the Universitat d'Andorra (UdA) is set by the Andorran government, not by the university, and it is charged per credit rather than as a flat annual fee. The same price applies whatever your nationality or residence. That makes the cost easy to calculate, but it also means there is no cheaper tier for EU students or for Andorran residents.

The price per credit

The government published the 2026/27 amounts in the official gazette, the BOPA (issue 33 of 2026). For an on-campus bachelor's degree the price is €28.10 per ECTS credit. A full-time year is 60 credits, which in our catalogue works out at €1,686 a year for EU and non-EU students alike.

The UdA bachelor's programmes have 180 ECTS credits and take three years, so at this price the tuition for a whole degree comes to about €5,058 (180 credits times €28.10; this is our arithmetic, not a published total). The double bachelor's in Computer Science and Business Administration has 283 credits, which comes to about €7,952 on the same basis.

Part-time study changes the schedule but not the price per credit. The UdA says the nursing degree, for example, can be taken at 10 or 20 credits per semester instead of the full-time 60 a year.

When the price goes up

The price per credit rises by 50% in two cases:

If you expect to retake modules, budget for this.

Discounts and exemptions

The UdA lists these reductions:

The UdA asks for the large-family, single-parent or disability card among the enrolment documents, so have it ready when you enrol.

Paying in instalments and student loans

You can pay tuition in instalments if you enrol in at least 15 credits. The UdA also says that three Andorran banks, Andbank, Creand Crèdit Andorrà and MoraBanc, offer special terms on student loans. The university does not give the interest rates, so ask the bank.

Scholarships and grants

Costs outside tuition

The university's pages do not publish a rent or living-cost estimate, and the campus has no student housing, so rent is the main variable. Our catalogue has no student-housing prices for Andorra. To get a residence permit as a non-EU student you must show means equal to 100% of the Andorran minimum wage and hold health insurance that covers 100% of medical costs. See the student visa guide. Students who live outside Andorra, for example across the border in Spain or France, do not need that permit to study.
